One resident recalled noticing a man getting out of the vehicle but failing to see the actual disposal of the sacks.

The same resident said the sacks were initially mistaken for ordinary garbage until the odor became noticeable the following morning.

The plastic bags reportedly had labels bearing the names and weights of the animals. A nearby worker named Ronnie also said he initially thought the sacks contained regular trash before reporting the situation to the barangay.

Due to concerns over sanitation and public health, authorities immediately arranged for the remains to be buried in a vacant lot.
