Police confirmed that the couple had been planning to tie the knot next month, adding a heartbreaking detail to the fatal road accident.
According to a report on GMA’s “Unang Balita,” the incident happened along a curved portion of the road in Barangay Busay. CCTV footage from the area captured the moments leading to the crash.
In the video, the couple’s motorcycle could be seen approaching the curved section of the road as an SUV traveled from the opposite direction.

The motorcycle appeared to avoid the oncoming vehicle before it went toward the side of the road and struck a post. The impact caused the motorcycle to flip, throwing the two riders from the vehicle.
Responding authorities later arrived at the scene and found the live-in partners already dead, the report said. Police did not provide additional details in the report about what may have caused the motorcycle to lose control.
There was also no indication in the report that the SUV and motorcycle had directly collided. Authorities have not released further information about the identities of the two victims.
However, police revealed that the couple had been scheduled to get married this coming September. The detail about their planned wedding emerged as authorities continued looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
GMA Regional TV was also trying to obtain a statement from the victims’ family regarding the incident. No statement from their relatives had been included in the “Unang Balita” report at the time it aired.

According to a report by GMA News' "Unang Balita," the victim was shot in the head at around 4 p.m. The gunman reportedly escaped immediately after the attack.
Recently, a mother and her 13-year-old son were injured after they were allegedly attacked with a bolo while sleeping inside their home in Barangay Paril, Cebu City. According to a report on GMA's Unang Balita, the incident happened after the 22-year-old suspect reportedly caused trouble during a dance in the barangay.
