A 23-year-old man is in custody following a violent incident in Oslob, Cebu, where he allegedly killed his 70-year-old father and a 75-year-old neighbor.

The tragedy occurred on Friday morning, February 21, 2025, in Barangay Luka.
The suspect also sustained injuries to his hands and feet after being shot by responding police officers when he allegedly attempted to attack them.
GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak attempted to get a statement from the suspect while he was being transported in an ambulance, but he declined to comment.

He was seen handcuffed and with his legs restrained.
According to the Oslob Police, a sibling of the suspect contacted them to report the incident and request his arrest.
The sibling informed the police that a heated argument had taken place between the suspect and their father prior to the violent act.
The sibling also witnessed the suspect retrieving a bolo knife and immediately sought police assistance.
Upon returning to the house, the sibling discovered their father had been injured.
Police further learned that another individual had also been attacked.
The investigation revealed that the suspect reportedly engages in unusual practices, including killing animals as a form of “offering.”
Authorities confirmed that the suspect is not on any drug watch list.
“Hindi siya drug personality, wala din siya sa listahan ng drug list natin. Talagang ganito lang talaga, ang background niya kapag umatake ang problema niya sa pag-iisip. May sinasabi siya sa atin na meron siyang paniniwala na merong nagdidikta sa kanya. May bumubulong sa kaniya, to do this,” Police Major Jude Cebrero, chief of the Oslob Municipal Police Station, explained.
The remains of the 75-year-old victim were taken to a funeral home in Alcoy, a neighboring town.
A child of the victim described the scene: “Nakita ko na nakatihaya na siya, may tama, meron dito, meron din dito. Para siyang baboy.”
The family of the deceased victim is calling for justice.
The police investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and to understand the suspect's mental state.
The authorities are also working to provide support to the families affected by this tragedy.

Police authorities have since arrested the suspect, who declined to issue a statement upon questioning by media personnel.
