Entertainment commentators Ogie Diaz, Dyosa Pockoh, and Mama Loi discussed the unusual situation on “Showbiz Update.” Ogie noted that netizens have been closely observing Kim’s appearances on the noontime show, particularly her recent outfits.
“Tinututukan na ng mga tao ito at wala pa rin tayong nakukuhang kumpirmasyon mula sa kampo ni Kim Chiu, araw-araw na lang (pansin ng netizens) na balot na balot daw lagi si Kim Chiu sa It’s Showtime dati kasi nagpapa-sexy,” Ogie said.
He also mentioned that some Kim Chiu fans are hoping the pregnancy rumors are true despite the lack of confirmation.

“Ipinapalagay na ng Kim Chiu fans na sana raw preggy na si Kim at sana raw totoo kasi nga naman wala pang direktang pag-amin mula sa dalawa (Kim at Paulo Avelino),” he added.
Dyosa Pockoh suggested that there could be a reason why none of the “It’s Showtime” hosts are joking about the topic, raising the possibility of an NDA.
“Na kahit sinong hosts ay walang magbibiro kay Kim tungkol sa buntis na isyu,” Dyosa said.

“Hindi ako sanay na hindi nila sinasakyan yung mga biro o comments ng netizens,” he said.

“Bilang manager tulad nu’ng kay Liza (Soberano) na laging may morality clause sa contract sa brand endorsements na hindi siya pwedeng magbuntis within the live contract (active real -time agreement), (bawal magbuntis) out of wedlock may mga ganyan ‘yung iba,” he explained.
However, Ogie stressed that such provisions depend on the specific agreement between an endorser and a brand. He also noted that some contracts may include restrictions related to public scandals.
“Pero kasi may mga brands talaga na ayaw nilang magbuntis ang endorser nila kasi nga may (pinangangalagaang) wholesome image lalo na hindi pa sila umaamin ni Paulo, may naka-stipulate rin sa contract na bawal ka masangkot sa public scandal.”
