The court also imposed an additional civil liability fine of P5,000, equivalent to the amount of public money she allegedly misused.

Regarding the falsification case, the Sandiganbayan ruled that Sicio should have been convicted as a public official, which carries a harsher penalty.

As a result, the Seventh Division modified her sentence to six months and one day up to eight years and one day in prison. She was also ordered to pay an additional P3,000 fine.

According to court records, Sicio forged a sales invoice to show that the school bought 28 bags of cement worth P7,000, when in reality, only eight bags costing P2,000 were purchased, leaving P5,000 unaccounted for.
