A female student’s harassment accusation against a ride-hailing driver created a massive buzz all over social media.

In a lengthy Facebook post, the student claimed that the driver was doing a lewd activity during her and her sister’s trip booked by their father through a ride-hailing app.

“THE MOMENT WE GOT IN THE CAR this manyakis was already breathing heavily and was acting weird. I was tired from today but my gut told me to stay alert. 5 minutes palang I started hearing squishing sounds and he also was breathing more heavily, almost moaning in fact. I immediately got it.”

She further narrated, “He was in the middle of his ‘session’ when I asked him out loud if he was okay. I told him that I noticed he was breathing super heavily. Nagulat siya and tried to laugh it off... I kept asking angrily anong meron I looked him straight in the eyes. He said na busog daw kasi siya daming niyang nakain na kanin. Naka taas yung shirt niya and I saw that only one hand was on the wheel. The squishing sound got louder.”

According to the student, she and her sister managed to get out safely and waited for their dad to pick them up.

After the student’s post went viral, the driver took to FB to debunk the claim and defend himself.

“Ako po ay overweight, may hika, at high blood. Kakagaling ko lang mag-hapunan at dahil sa kabusugan ay hinihingal,” he explained.

The driver further wrote, “Mas nagtaka lamang po dahil bigla silang nagrequest bumaba. Kinamusta ko rin po sila kung bakit sila nagpapababa. Papatunayan po ito ng Audio Protect recording ni G*** na kasalukuyan na rin po nilang nirereview. Halos 5 to 6 minutes lang po sila sa loob ng aking sasakyan.”

“Ako po ay may katabaan lamang kaya iba ang tunog ng aking hingal na maaring mainterpret bilang ‘squishy sound.’ Pasensya na po kung ito ay nakakabahala sa iba,” said the driver, who revealed that the ride-hailing company temporarily deactivated his account on the app while an investigation is underway.

“Humingi lang po ako ng inyong pag-unawa at nawa'y maimbestigahan ito nang patas at maayos, at matapos na ang mga maling akusasyon at panghuhusga, dahil naapektuhan na rin ang aking pamilya, lalo na ang aking anak, dahil sa dami ng bashing at maging death threats.”

As it turned out, there was a bag under the passenger side of the taxi.
