Kim Ji Soo opened up about his growing connection to the Philippines during his guest appearance on the pilot episode of the new talk show KALURKS!, where he also showed off some of the Filipino words he has learned.

The Sparkle actor, who became part of the talent agency’s roster in August 2024, has now spent two years in the Philippines. During his conversation with host Ashley Rivera, Ji Soo was asked if he already considered himself a “Pinoy at heart.”
With a smile, he answered:
“In my heart is already Pinoy.”

He then shared how his extended stay in the country has changed the way he sees the Philippines, adding:
“It's been actually two years. I feel like now is like my second home here.”
Ji Soo also gave viewers a glimpse of the Filipino expressions he has picked up during his time in the country. Although he admitted that he only knows a few words, he confidently demonstrated one phrase while looking directly at Ashley.
“Kaunti lang. Like, 'Ang ganda mo,'” he said.
The simple compliment immediately caught Ashley off guard, with the actress unable to hide her kilig after hearing Ji Soo say the line to her.
Trying to playfully defend herself, Ashley responded:
