Babae, na-scam ng P500,000 mula sa kanyang credit card: "na-mental block na ako"

- A vendor from Caloocan City fell into the hands of 'vishing' or voice-fishing

- She said the person knew all her bank transactions that's why she was persuaded by the man to provide the OTP or One-Time Password sent to her

- Ybanez only realized she got scammed when a legitimate bank employee called her and informed her that about P500,000 had been taken from her account

A vendor from Caloocan City became a victim of "vishing," or voice phishing.

According to Rosalie Pagatpat Ybanez, the scam began when a man called, claiming to be a bank employee.

In a report by Faith Del Mundo of News 5, which was aired in Frontline Tonight, the vendor said the caller seemed credible, as he knew all her bank transactions, convincing her to share the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to her.
