Showbiz reporter and talent manager Ogie Diaz voiced his support for Vice Ganda as the comedian continues to receive criticism on social media, particularly comments targeting his physical appearance.

In a video, Ogie discussed the negative remarks directed at Vice and expressed his disappointment over how easily some netizens resort to insulting others online. He pointed out that people often find it easier to make hurtful comments than to communicate without offending someone.
“Ang nakakalungkot dito, 'yung mas madaling mang-nega, kaysa magsalita ng hindi nakakasakit ng damdamin,” Ogie said.
Ogie also addressed those who make remarks about another person's appearance, saying that people who criticize someone's face should also take a look at themselves.

“Kapag umo-okray kayo ng ganoong face, dapat mas makinis kayo,” he added.
Despite the criticism, Ogie emphasized that Vice is not facing the situation alone. According to him, the comedian continues to have supporters who are willing to defend her whenever negative comments become excessive.
“Kung grabe naman 'yung mga comment kay Vice, grabe rin 'yung mga pagtatanggol, pagdedepensa ng mga tao sa kanya,” he said.

Kasi 'di ba kapag sikat, nilait mo, at pinansin ka ng mga netizen, kinontra ka, [tapos] ang purpose mo ay engagement, tapos nakuha mo naman 'yung engagement, nakuha mo ang reaksyon ng mga tao, napagalit mo 'yung mga tao, 'di successful ka. Ang tanong, papatulan ba 'yan ni Vice?”
Rather than adding to the negativity, Ogie called for greater restraint and responsibility when using social media. He reminded users that online comments can affect the people on the receiving end, particularly when the remarks are directed at something as personal as physical appearance.
“Kailangan natin pangaralan ang mga tao na maghunos-dili kayo sa kaka-comment, lalo na kung wala naman kayong nararating sa buhay,” he remarked.
