Veronica “Kitty” Duterte shared another emotional message for her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, following his first in-person appearance before the International Criminal Court (ICC).

On Thursday, September 17, Kitty posted a photo of her father captured during his appearance before the ICC on Wednesday, September 16. Rodrigo appeared before ICC Trial Chamber III during the third status conference in his crimes against humanity case.
The proceedings marked the first time Rodrigo personally appeared before the tribunal since he was arrested in Manila in March 2025 and surrendered to the ICC’s custody in The Hague. For the proceedings, he wore a dark suit over a white shirt.
Following the hearing, Kitty took to social media and shared the photo of her father, along with a throwback picture of the two of them from her childhood.
