An article claimed that actress Shaina Magdayao has passed away because if hypothyroidism on October 19, 2019.
However, KAMI learned that the claim was false.
The article showed a report that looked like GMA News’ “24 Oras.” It said in the headline that the actress died at the age of 30.
“BREAKING: Shaina Magdayao, Pumanaw sa Edad 30,” it read.
Meanwhile, the description claimed that Magdayao was “dead on arrival” when she was allegedly brought to the hospital.
“Breaking: ‘SHAINA MAGDAYAO’ dead on arrival nang dalhin sa E.R. dahil sa sakit na Hypothyroid,” it stated.

In a report by the Rappler, the claim was misleading.
Through an Instagram post, Magdayao has broken her silence about the circulating rumors regarding her supposed death.
“Im baaaccckkk! Or should I say, I’m A L I I I I VE,” the actress wrote on October 26.
Magdayao also mentioned that she has taken some time off social media.
“How refreshing to be off socmed for a while. Missed you too, IG world,” she said.
In 2017, Magdayao shared that she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and has been taking maintenance medicines.
Shaina Garcia Magdayao is a well-known actress, dancer, and endorser. She was dubbed as the “Kapamilya Gold Queen” for starring in many successful roles in ABS-CBN Network.
She will be celebrating her 30th birthday on November 6.
