A video of a man who was carrying a baby, trying to get themselves to safer ground as the rain poured in has gone viral.

The baby was wrapped in a yellow blanket and the man was holding her firmly in his arms.

In the video uploaded by Lanie Uy, the man slipped when he was already near the edge of the roof, but he made sure to keep the little one protected.

Many comments from netizens wished that both the man and the baby were safe.

The caption on the video itself denoted that anyone who saw it, either reacted with a shout, or simply gasped at the manner by which the man slipped.

A man was swept away by the flood while standing on a small bridge in Barangay Valencia in Quezon City. His lifeless body was later found along the riverbanks of another barangay. It was around five in the morning when the waters on the creek suddenly rose.
