Vice Ganda and Isko Moreno were captured on camera having an emotional encounter at the GMA Gala 2023 that left fans of both personalities buzzing with excitement and admiration.

In a touching moment posted by Sparkle GMA Artist Center, two prominent figures from different noontime programs showed love and affection for each other during their encounter at the event.

The unexpected meeting between Vice Ganda, a beloved comedian and host from ABS-CBN's "It's Showtime," and Isko Moreno, the incumbent Mayor of Manila and former "Eat Bulaga!" host, was one of the highlights of the gala.

As the camera rolled, Isko unexpectedly wrapped his arms around Vice from behind, pulling him close for an affectionate hug. Vice, visibly moved by the gesture, turned around and embraced Isko, reciprocating the warmth and showing their appreciation for each other.

The viral video has sparked conversations across social media platforms, with netizens praising the beautiful display of friendship and unity, transcending network affiliations.

"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.

Previously, Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis have just inked a “long-term” contract with TAPE’s ‘Eat Bulaga.’ The contract signing took place on July 8 at APT Studios. TAPE Inc. and Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s executives were present at the contract signing event. Sparkle and Kapuso reporter Nelson Canlas took to its social media pages and shared photos from the event.

In an earlier report, Isko, during his "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" guesting, shared with Boy the words of wisdom he gave to the “Eat Bulaga” team before they aired last July 1. The former Manila City mayor told them to just enjoy the afternoon and be themselves. He also admitted that they felt so much pressure on that day when TVJ’s “E.A.T.” was launched and “It’s Showtime” started airing on GTV.
