"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.
The portraits of the previous "Eat Bulaga" hosts, also referred to as the "Legit Dabarkads," graced the walls of TV5 Media Center's hallway. TV5 took to its social media pages and shared a video of the portraits. Aside from the show's pioneer hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon's images, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, Carren Eistrup and Ryzza Mae Dizon's portraits were also spotted.
Days ago, a mass and blessing of their “new home” were held. TVJ’s online pages then shared several photos giving glimpses of the special event and the studio of the program. Aside from the iconic trio, Pauleen Luna, Tali Sotto, Maine Mendoza, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Carren Eistrup also attended the mass.
