"Alam mo, sa totoo lang, Mommy Su, sa mga naging jowa ko, ako lagi 'yung funny kasi nga opposites attract, 'di ba? 'Yung mga naa-attract kong guys mga seryoso, medyo reserved, ganyan," she said.

However, the actress-comedienne admitted that she eventually became bored with partners who did not share her sense of humor. She realized that having a good connection goes beyond finding someone who looks ideal on paper.

"And then, I realized kasi na I didn't know na magiging non-negotiable ko pala ang having the same humor," Ashley shared.

She also recalled dating someone whose humor did not match hers, admitting that she initially thought the difference was not a big deal. The experience helped her recognize how important this compatibility was when choosing a partner.

"But hindi, sabi ko, I wanna make sure, when I find the right partner, na same wavelength kasi malaking bagay sa akin ang humor," she said.

Beyond romantic relationships, Ashley explained that humor also helps her deal with life's challenges and maintain a positive outlook.

"I mean, it might sound cheesy, but humor actually saves me. Kasi, kung hindi ko nakikita 'yung positive in things then, nasa'n na ko ngayon, 'di ba? Baka nalunod na ako sa depression ko."

She added that laughter can help people change their perspective and find healing in difficult situations, making humor more than just a source of entertainment for her.
