Lyca Gairanod opened up about her relationship with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Kyle Walle, admitting that jealousy can sometimes get the better of her.

During her appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, October 6, the singer candidly described herself as “OA” when it comes to feeling jealous of Kyle. She also revealed that she occasionally looks back at his old conversations and brings them up even when the messages were sent years ago.

“Sobrang OA ko po magselos talaga. Minsan po may mga ka-chat siya noon. Babasahin ko, 'Bakit ka nag-I love you dito?' Ganu'n ako. Ibabalik ko 'yung dati, makahanap lang ng away,” said Lyca.

According to the singer, her jealousy can sometimes surface unexpectedly, including during seemingly ordinary moments with her boyfriend. She shared that there are instances when she suddenly becomes emotional while they are eating together.

Lyca explained that when Kyle asks what is wrong, she may point back to an old message he previously sent to another person. The situation, she admitted, can lead to disagreements despite the message being from several years ago.

Her admission comes as the couple continues to enjoy their relationship despite the challenges that come with it. Lyca also emphasized that they prefer handling their personal problems privately rather than exposing their disagreements to other people.

“Okay naman po kasi sa mga tao, maganda naman po 'yung ipinapakita namin sa kanila. Wala naman po kaming kahit na 'pag may problem kami, hindi naman dapat i-open pa sa ibang tao, kaya po naming i-keep lang 'yun na sa amin lang. So kaya 'pag nakikita po kami ng tao, masaya po kami kasi 'yun po kami, eh. Natural lang,” she said.

Kyle holds a special place in Lyca’s life as her first boyfriend. The two began dating in March 2022, before Lyca officially introduced him to the public during her debut in November of the same year.
