The topic resurfaced during the June 28 episode of his online entertainment program Showbiz Updates, following recent online backlash against Chiu concerning her jokes directed at Eat Bulaga host Ryzza Mae Dizon. Discussing the actress's tendency to speak before thinking, Diaz recalled a specific incident that occurred backstage during a major television event.
“Bigla kong naalala.
According to Diaz, he and his family had just visited comedian Vice Ganda in the dressing room when they ran directly into Chiu, who was having her photos taken just a meter away.

“So lumabas kami dahil binati namin si Vice Ganda. So akala ko magha-hi o ano. Siyempre mayro’n kaming konting misunderstanding, e,” Diaz added.
Instead of a warm greeting or complete avoidance, Diaz claimed he was taken aback when the actress threw a questionable remark his way with an unsettling facial expression.
“Buti pinapasok kayo,” Chiu allegedly said.
So no’ng paglampas namin, nagtaka si misis.
