Former Viva Hot Babes member Katya Santos recently addressed the growing speculation surrounding a potential reunion for the iconic girl group.

During an appearance on the talk show “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Friday, June 26, host Boy Abunda brought up the successful world tour of their contemporary rivals, the SexBomb Girls, and asked about the likelihood of a similar comeback.
Katya initially laughed before revealing that while she previously denied the rumors, Viva Entertainment boss Vic del Rosario has officially expressed interest in making the reunion happen.

“Kasi, actually, Tito Boy, I've said so many times nga na wala. Pero recently, pinatawag kami ni Boss Vic. Sinabi niya sa amin na gusto niyang mag-reunion kami. So, sa ngayon, 'yun pa lang po ang alam namin na gusto niya. Kung kailan, kung mangyayari ba siya, siguro po ia-announce namin kung talagang may magaganap this year, or maybe next year. Pero gusto niya [Boss Vic] po talaga,” Katya continued.
She further explained that the group feels immense pressure due to public comparisons with the SexBomb Girls, though she clarified that there is no bad blood between the two groups.
“Siyempre, kinakabahan kami. Napi-pressure kami because, of course, nako-compare [kami sa] SexBomb. And by the way, kaibigan po namin sila. So, excited din naman kami sa thought na magka-reunion kami.”
The Viva Hot Babes rose to fame in the early 2000s with their chart-topping songs, films, and television appearances, becoming one of the country's most recognizable all-female groups. While no official reunion has been confirmed, Katya's latest revelation has fueled excitement among longtime fans eager to see the group perform together again.
