He took to Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to her late dear friend.

The actor published a reel containing photos and clips of Chef Margarita’s beautiful moments when she was alive.

Along with the heartwarming reel, Edu wrote an earnest message to the renowned chef and restaurateur.

“To my dear friend Margarita, your presence will be deeply missed but your memories will live on in my heart forever.”

Edu went on to express how thankful he is for his lovely memories with the culinary legend.

Furthermore, the television presenter wished Chef Margarita’s soul an eternal peace.

The prominent chef passed away at the age of 65, as confirmed by her son, Amado. In his post, Amado confirmed the demise of his mom, saying their family is mourning the 'unexpected loss' of Margarita. No cause of death was mentioned in Amado's post, however, he did mention that it was sudden.

Chef Margarita, who was the granddaughter of the late tycoon, J. Amado Araneta, was a well-known figure in the Philippine culinary scene.

She was also known as the woman behind the Italian restaurant, Cibo, which opened in 1997. As per to reports, the Italian restaurant has over 20 branches all over the Philippines. After the success of her restaurant, Margarita also launched other dining favorites including, Lusso, Grace Park, Alta, and The Loggia.

Edu Manzano is an actor, comedian, politician, and the television host of game shows such as The Weakest Link, Pilipinas, Game KNB?, 1 vs. 100, and Asar Talo Lahat Panalo. He used to be in a relationship with actress Vilma Santos. They have a son in show business – Luis Manzano.
