Marco Alcaraz looked back on his wife Lara Quigaman’s Miss International victory with a sweet message that mixed pride, gratitude, and a little humor.

In his Instagram caption, the actor recalled September 26, 2005, when the beauty queen won the international title for the Philippines. He then gave the anniversary a personal touch by sharing what makes the milestone special to him.
“Twenty-one years later, I’m still reaping the rewards of that win… buti na lang pinakasalan niya ako!” he wrote.
The playful remark was followed by a more heartfelt expression of appreciation. While Lara’s victory was a proud moment for the country, Marco shared his joy in being the person she married.

“The Philippines got a queen, and I get to call her my wife,” he said.
Her win remains part of the Philippines’ pageant history. The Miss International organization’s official roster lists Precious Lara Quigaman as its 2005 winner. A Philippine Senate record also confirms that she earned the crown in Tokyo, Japan, on September 26 that year. September 26, 2026, marks 21 years since that achievement.
For the actor, the anniversary also offered a chance to recognize the qualities he appreciates in his wife. His message moved from a joke about her crown to a reflection on marriage and faith.
He cited Proverbs 18:22, writing, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing.”
Marco also referred to Proverbs 31:10, which describes a wife of noble character as worth far more than rubies. Through those passages, he expressed how deeply he values Lara as his partner.
He brought those thoughts together with a short message addressed directly to her.
“I found both in Lara… so blessed to be your husband!” he wrote.
The couple also have their own milestones beyond the pageant stage. As previously reported by GMA Entertainment, they exchanged vows at Hacienda Isabella in Indang, Cavite, in 2012. They share three sons, Noah Lamar, Tobias Nolan, and Moses Marc.
