Carlos Yulo, in a recent interview by Dyan Castillejo, revealed what he plans to do with the money he’s earned as incentives for winning two Olympic gold medals.

It can be recalled that Caloy won the gold medal in two gymnastics events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, one in Men’s Floor Exercise and Men’s Vault.

Caloy dominated in both events, earning him an average of more than 15 points the two gymnastics segments.

Because of this he’s sure to get cash incentives from the government of P26 million, plus P6 million from various businesses, with more financial incentive pledges pouring in as of this writing.

Observers say Caloy’s cash incentives, aside from possible endorsements, could reach over P40 million pesos, not counting the properties he would be receiving worth well over P30 million pesos.

When asked about his plans regarding this financial windfall, Caloy acknowledged that he’s not going to be an athlete forever, so he’s going to save some of it and also invest a portion of his earnings, while also sharing some to aspiring gymnasts.

“I'm gonna save it and invest also,” Caloy said.

“I'm not going to be an athlete forever po. I have to take care of my personal life also and balance it also and of course share it sa mga bata po na gustong mag gymnastics,” the two-gold medal Olympian said.

The Gymnastics Association of the Philippines president, Cynthia Carrion, whom the athlete considers as a mother-figure, and who was also with him during the interview, nodded her head in agreement to Caloy’s plans.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics' men's floor exercise and men's vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Recently, Chooks-To-Go also pledged P3 million in favor of Carlos Yulo for the honor that he gave to the country. The company, in its official Facebook page, made the announcement on August 5. They said that Carlos has shown bravery and strength. It also thanked the "Manok ng Bayan" for everything that he did to win the double gold Olympic medals.

The athlete's reward under Megaworld also got upgraded big time. After bagging two gold medals at the Olympics, Carlos will receive a condo unit in Taguig. The said unit is a three-bedroom unit in McKinley Hill in Taguig City. Needless to say, netizens expressed their joy for Carlos and commended Megaworld as well.
