On her Instagram account, Klea shared a screenshot of the exchange, where a user bluntly asked, "Bakit walang ear ang papa mo?" When another commenter politely explained that her father was born with microtia, the user shockingly replied, "Akala ko po ginawang sisig yong isa eh."

Refusing to let the mockery slide, Klea reposted her sister's statement where the latter addressed the hurtful remark head-on to shed light on her father's condition:

"Hi! I don’t usually respond to these types of things but since someone decided to be ignorant might as well take this opportunity to spread awareness instead."

In the repost, Klea's sister emphasized that their father has nothing to be ashamed for having a disability:

"And since someone decided to mock my papa’s disability, let’s talk about it. Microtia is a birth defect in which the outer ear is not formed or is missing. It’s not something that happened 'to' someone, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of."

The actress's sister firmly reminded netizens that physical vulnerabilities and conditions are never comedic material:

"You don't have to like someone or their family, but making fun of a person with a disability is an entirely different level of ignorance. My papa’s disability is not a punchline, a joke or something you get to use to attack someone else."

Highlighting how malicious jokes reflect poorly on those who make them, she added:

"Making fun of someone’s disability doesn’t make you funny or cool. Imagine being so desperate to attack someone that you resort to making fun of a disability they were born with. That says more about you than it ever will about my papa."
