Taking to his Instagram account @imkrislawrence, the singer-songwriter shared heartfelt moments from Katie's birthday gathering. The celebration was captured in a family vlog highlighting an intimate home get-together attended by Katie's mother, actress Katrina Halili.
The group surrounded the birthday girl with prayers, songs, gifts, and a traditional festive spread featuring two whole lechons, pancit, and birthday cakes.
In his caption, Kris reflected on how mature his teen daughter has become:

"I can’t believe I have a 14 year old!! I was so touched when she said she only wants to be with family for her Birthday… she’s adulting! Noooo, don’t grow up baby."
During the gathering, Kris spoke to the camera about how much Katie's simple request meant to him:
"It's Katie's birthday. You know what was very touching? Ayaw niya ng maraming tao. Gusto lang niya family only. So I was touched."
