“C'mon, can you just be down there,” Derek asked Ellen.
“You're so clingy,” Ellen told her husband
The actor said that he’s not clingy at all but just needs motivation, which is why he wanted Ellen to accompany him, a reason that Ellen jokingly scoffed at and dismissed, saying she wanted to sleep.

“I'm not being clingy, I need motivation,” Derek said.
“What? You'll be motivated with me just standing there? No. I'm gonna nap,” the actress answered.
The actor continued to try to convince his wife, indicating that married couples should support one another.
“That's what married people do,” Derek insisted, but Ellen appeared to be adamant with staying in their room, saying: “Go workout.”
At this point, Derek tried a different tack, telling his wife that he would make a bed for her downstairs and she could lie there while he worked out.
“Then lie down, I'll make a bed there,” Derek said.
“No, I wanna sleep here,” Ellen said, refusing the offer.
“I want to workout,” Derek said once again, to which Ellen replied: “Then go.”
It wasn’t clear whether the actor went downstairs to workout on his own or if Ellen finally relented and accompanied him.

In a separate post, Ellen once again played a prank on her husband when she took a video of her husband talking in his sleep. In the videos that the actress and celebrity mom posted on social media, one can see Derek sleeping and yet talking. What made it more humorous was when Ellen tried to respond to what the actor was saying, he also appeared to make a reply. The actress then wrote a caption in the two videos, telling Derek to do something.
