In a recent interview on GMA’s “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” comedian Janno Gibbs opened up about the tragic death of his father, Ronaldo Valdez, who passed away at the age of 76 last December.

Janno revealed that his parents, Ronaldo Valdez and Maria Fe “Baby” Gibbs, had separated nearly a year before the heartbreaking incident. Following their split, Janno took his father into his home and had been caring for him before he died. Aside from the separation, Ronaldo was also dealing with health issues before his death. Janno theorized that his father might not have wanted to be a burden to his family members. He also speculated that the health issues prevented Ronaldo, who loved to go out and have fun, from doing the things he liked doing.
“Alam na naman ng karamihan, at least, not everybody, it’s almost been a year na my dad and my mom have been separated.
“After that happened, almost one year nang nakatira sa akin ang dad ko. I’ve been taking care of him.”

Meanwhile, the last post of the daughter of the late Ronaldo Valdez where the actor could be seen in the photo has gone viral. It was posted by Melissa Gibbs, the sister of Janno Gibbs. The photo showed a smiling Lolo Sir, together with his two children. Melissa wrote that at that time, she was asking Lolo Sir what really happened to KathNiel.
