According to a 24 Oras' "Chika Minute" report on Wednesday, September 9, Alden was revealed as the guest for the show's pilot episode on GMA and iWant. His interview with Vice Ganda will air this Sunday, September 13.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN took to social media to share photos of Vice Ganda and Alden on the set of the returning program. The network teased viewers about what the Kapuso actor might reveal during the interview, writing, "Alden Richards, ready na bang mag-spill ng tea? Siya ang kauna-unahang guest sa pinakaaabangang pagbabalik ng Gandang Gabi Vice sa telebisyon!"

Meanwhile, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board held a formal hearing over the controversial July 24 episode of “It’s Showtime.” The proceedings stemmed from complaints concerning the “Memerimar” skit and the “lugaw” segment, with representatives and legal counsels from “It’s Showtime,” ABS-CBN, GMA Network, ZOE Broadcasting Network, and ALLTV in attendance. The MTRCB instructed the respondents to submit a Joint Position Paper and Joint Undertaking to reinforce compliance with broadcast standards. The board also ordered the networks involved to appoint an On-Air Compliance Officer to help prevent possible violations during live broadcasts.
