In the video she shared, Ellen made it clear that she does not resort to physical punishment when it comes to disciplining her son.

Instead, she opts for a method that revolves around removing certain privileges. Specifically, she mentioned that if Elias did something really unpleasant, the consequence is he would not be allowed to use his iPad for 24 hours.

Furthermore, Ellen disclosed that in some cases, Elias would have to sleep in a separate room, as they usually co-sleep.

"It's either no iPad for 24 hours or worse, is that he will sleep in the other room. Because we still co-sleep, and he likes to sleep beside me. And if he does something really unpleasant, that's his punishment. He will sleep in the other room," she said.

She emphasized that this particular disciplinary action has only been implemented three times so far, adding that Elias is generally well-behaved and he also listens to her.
