Jake Ejercito has taken to Instagram and aired his indignation over the answer of the Makati City PNP Chief of Police P/Col. Edward Cutiyog.

The actor wrote a single-lined tweet, "F tha police."

His statement was then followed by the hashtag, which was used by many to express their support for the detained actor.

"#IStandWithAwra" was the hashtag that was used by Jake.

Aside from Jake, many other celebs expressed their support for the comedian.

These include Zeinab Harake, Maris Racal, Jerald Napoles, Kim Molina, and a lot more.

Bianca Gonzalez, like Jake, also pointed out the manner by which the chief of the Makati City police responded to the question of Sen. Tulfo regarding Awra.

She actually thanked the senator for correcting the statement that was given by the said police officer during the interview.

Recently, the Makati City police shared the side of the complainant against the actor through "24 Oras."

Awra Briguela, or McNeal Briguela, is a young Filipino comedian and actor. His popularity started when he became part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when he was personally chosen for the role by the show's lead actor Coco Martin. He was also the first champion for season one of the Philippine version of Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids. In 2016, Awra's life was featured in a titular episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

Zeinab Harake took to Twitter and expressed her thoughts on Awra. The vlogger and social media influencer stated that she could no longer take what is happening to her friend now. "Di na kinakaya ng sikmura ko," Zebby said. She also stated that the pain in her heart simply hurts so much.

Mark Christian Ravana, the man whom Awra had an altercation with outside a Makati brawl trended on Twitter. The name has been retweeted thousands of times following the arrest of the comedienne. A video of Mark on a police patrol car has also gone viral on social media. The comedienne's friend has stated that Awra only defended her friends from alleged harassers.
