Janice de Belen shares reaction to Kaila Estrada & Daniel Padilla's relationship

Janice de Belen revealed that she was not surprised when she learned about daughter Kaila Estrada’s relationship with Daniel Padilla.

During her interview on Jeepney TV’s “Stars On Stars,” Janice was asked about the first thing that came to mind after finding out about Kaila and Daniel.

The veteran actress admitted that she felt she had already predicted that something like this would happen.

“Feeling ko na-predict ko naman na may mga ganitong mangyayari,” she said.

Janice explained that she also began her career in showbiz at a young age. Most of the men she dated, including the person she eventually married, were also part of the entertainment industry.

Because of her own experience, the celebrity believed there was a strong possibility that Kaila would also date someone from showbiz.

“Eventually, mayroon siyang magiging karelasyon na showbiz,” she shared.

Janice recalled becoming curious when rumors involving Kaila and Daniel first began circulating. She felt there could be some truth behind the reports, although her daughter would initially deny them whenever the topic was brought up.

The actress also reminded Kaila about the reality of having a relationship with another public figure.

“Whether you like it or not, the relationship will be public,” Janice told her daughter.

According to the celebrity mom, it would be difficult for the pair to keep everything private because both of them are known personalities. She later joked that her earlier prediction eventually became true.

“The prediction came true,” she remarked.

Despite the attention surrounding her daughter’s personal life, Janice made it clear that she had no intention of controlling Kaila’s decisions.

“You know, it’s her life. She’s an adult. There is nothing I can do and there is nothing I want to do,” she explained.

For Janice, seeing her daughter happy is more important than interfering in her relationship.

“Pag masaya ’yung anak mo, ’yun lang ang importante. Okay na ’yun,” she added.

Kaila and Daniel worked together in the action series “Incognito.” They have also been seen together on several occasions and appeared in photos from gatherings and trips. However, the two stars have generally kept the details of their relationship private.
