Eric "Eruption" Tai became emotional with the most recent blessing that he has received—having his own first-ever solo billboard.

In a Facebook post that is meant to inspire others, the Ting Ting King narrated how he endured so many things before the said billboard

He narrated how he experienced almost got evicted because he was not able to pay the electricity bill.

"I lived out of a suitcase for 5 years.

I didn’t own anything but a phone, some clothes and 2 pairs of shoes.
I almost got evicted because I couldn’t pay the electricity bill.
I would sleep at an internet cafe coz I had no other place to stay and because of my addiction to Dota.
I went to over a thousand auditions / vtrs for commercials, ramp, billboards and even promotizing."

Now, after 15 years, his dream of having his own solo billboard was finally realized.

"And finally after 15 YEARS, I now have “MY OWN FIRST EVER SOLO BILLBOARD” which stands at over 120 feet on one the busiest and biggest express highways in the Philippines..."

Inspiring many, Eruption said that if one would see his billboard, one must remember that dreams can come true and anything is always possible.

"It may not happen now or even in a few months or even years. Just keep working hard in refining your skills and talents in order for you to achieve it. And don’t stop believing in yourself. Kayang kaya yan."

He then ended his post with gratitude and by reminding others that it is always "in God's timing."

Eric Tai, also known as Eruption, is a Tongan-born Filipino actor, model, TV host, comedian and rugby union player. He also used to be one of the hosts of "It's Showtime". Tai got married to Rona Samson in March 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cubao, Quezon City.

In a recent interview with Julius Babao, Eruption narrated why he left the ABS-CBN noontime program “It’s Showtime.” According to Eruption, it was a producer of the show who informed him that he was being removed from the program because it had to undergo a reformat. Despite what happened, Eric did not have hard feelings toward the “It’s Showtime” family. The social media star expressed his gratitude to Vice Ganda, the other co-hosts, and the staff of the show for giving him an opportunity to work and gain popularity.

During the height of the pandemic in 2021, Eruption tested positive for COVID-19, an information he shared to his followers online. However, Eruption’s household members tested negative for the said virus. He also jokingly said that he was imprisoned in his room by his wife Rona Samson because of his illness. Lastly, he urged the public to get vaccinated as soon as possible and to isolate themselves immediately if they experience any symptoms.
