Joey de Leon took to Instagram to share his opinion on people who spend a lot of time bashing and criticizing others on social media.
The “Eat Bulaga” host asked about the common trait found in bashers aside from their desire to criticize others.
The famous comedian bashed the bashers, saying that their online behavior is driven by “inggit” or envy.
Online bashing is a hot topic online these days as YouTube star Alex Gonzaga got into hot waters after a video of her smearing cake on a waiter’s face during her birthday party surfaced on social media.

Many people cried foul over Alex’s behavior, saying that she disrespected and embarrassed the waiter through her action.
Joey recently starred in a movie called “My Teacher,” also starring Alex’s older sister, Toni Gonzaga.
“Anong meron ang isang basher bukod sa giting o tapang para manira o mamuna ng ibang tao? Ang sagot, halu-haluin niyo ang mga letra ng salitang giting at makukuha niyo ang salitang inggit,” Joey said.
Joey de Leon is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is best known for being a pioneer host, along with Vic Sotto and Tito Sotto, of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.”
In a previous report by KAMI, Toni Gonzaga was one of the people who reacted to Joey de Leon's viral post. The said post features a wordplay written by Joey and it's about president-elect Bongbong Marcos. Aside from posting it on Twitter, Joey also published it on his Instagram feed. That's where Toni commented and left "OG Henyo" in the comments section.
