Lolit Solis recently penned her honest thoughts on Dennis Padilla’s now-deleted posts about not receiving Father’s Day greetings from his children Julia, Claudia, and Leon Barretto.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the veteran showbiz columnist said Dennis’ sentiment is understandable but she also believes that youngsters are not really fond of greeting adults on special occasions.
“Siyempre understandable naman iyon hugot ni Dennis Padilla na nagtampo na hindi siya nabati ng mga anak ng Father's Day, Salve. Pero kung iisipin mo talaga naman kadalasan sa mga bata lalo pa nga at iyon kalikutan pa ang edad hindi ugali ang bumati ng Mother's Day o anuman okasyon dahil either busy sa laro, o hindi parin nila maisip na importante sa mga may edad na batiin sila sa mga special na okasyon.”

Manay Lolit also said that the celebrity father should have not expected greetings from the three since they are living apart.
“Saka hindi naman yata kasama ni Dennis Padilla ang ilan sa mga anak niya, kaya hindi niya dapat asahan na ma remember ng mga ito ang pagbati sa kanya. “
Furthermore, Lolit expressed her frank opinion on Dennis’ choice to post about this matter, which prompted the public to talk about his relationship with his and Marjorie Barretto’s kids.
“Kaya nga kung minsan hindi mo rin masisi na nababalita ang mga maliit na tampuhan kasi nga nagiging vocal sa pagsasalita kung minsan ang mga artista. Hayan tuloy at napag uusapan, at nagiging issue.”
“Basta kundi man nabati si Dennis Padilla hayaan na niya, tiyakin niya lang na sa paglaki ng mga bata mahalin siya ng mga ito at ituring na dear father nila kahit hindi sila magkasama sa bahay. Ang importante iyon nasa puso nila, hindi iyon pagbati. Basta Father ka nila, OK na iyon di bah!” she added.
Dennis Esteban Dominguez Baldivia, better known by his screen name Dennis Padilla, is a Filipino comedian, TV host, radio broadcaster and actor. He was born on February 9, 1962 to the late actor-comedian Prudencio Baldivia and Catalina Baldivia. He is the father of popular actress Julia Barretto. Dennis already has a different family.
In a previous report by KAMI, Dennis Padilla went viral due to his now-deleted posts on June 22. In his posts Dennis said Julia, Claudia and Leon Barretto forgot to greet him on Father’s Day.
Leon Barretto marked his 19th birthday last April 2. Dennis Padilla took to social media to post an advanced birthday greeting for Leon. In his greeting, the veteran actor and comedian expressed that he misses his beloved son. Leon then commented on Dennis’ post and thanked his father for his greeting.
