The veteran columnist also pointed out that Villar TV is new and it has to undergo a test phase.

“Bago pa lang ang Villar TV, mag testing the ground pa iyan, magkakaruon pa iyan ng hit and miss, magbubuo pa iyan ng mga tao na puwede isabak para matiyak na panlaban ang mga projects nila,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

She did mention, however, the advantage of having a new TV station.

Nay Lolit said it would make the industry merrier and would provide jobs to a lot of people.

“Pero maganda parin na pumasok ang Villar TV, the more , the merrier, maganda parin dahil maraming trabaho ang mabubuksan, at magkakaruon ng healthy competition para sa lahat,” she wrote in her post.

In the end, Nay Lolit advised GMA7 to just relax for now as it already knows how to handle competition.

“Relax lang ang GMA7, alam na nila at naranasan na nila magkaruon ng kumpetisyon, so the better show, better network wins. Good for the viewers, at least mas marami ng mapapanuod. Bongga talaga,” Nay Lolit said.

Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.

As regards competition, Nay Lolit also gave her opinion on Cristy Fermin's new show becoming a possible competitor. In an IG post, Nay Lolit wrote that she does not consider Nay Cristy's show to be competing with her and Mister Fu’s own show. The showbiz writer added that it is a positive thing to have different showbiz talk shows because it gives energy to the entertainment industry. Additionally, Lolit said that the reason they are doing these showbiz shows is not to compete with each other.

In a separate post, the veteran columnist expressed sadness on realizing that Willie Revillame has not been on TV for a long time and is no longer seen on major networks. Nay Lolit wondered why, despite the high ratings of Willie’s show, it still went off air. She lamented the fact that Willie can only be seen on Facebook and not on a channel owned by a big network. Nay Lolit then said that this should serve as a wake-up call for everyone and realize that nothing is permanent in the world and everything could disappear in an instant.
