Gelli de Belen shared her honest thoughts about the relationship between her niece Kaila Estrada and Daniel Padilla.

The veteran actress spoke about the couple during an episode of “Stars on Stars,” which is available on Jeepney TV’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

During the conversation, Gelli said she is happy for Kaila because she has always known Daniel to be kind and respectful.

“Natutuwa naman ako kasi mabait naman sa akin si DJ. DJ’s always been good to me. He’s always treated me well. He’s always been respectful of me,” she said.

The actress added that she is glad to see her niece happy with the Kapamilya actor.

“So, with him being with Kaila now, I am happy for both of them. I am happy that he makes Kaila happy, and I’m hoping it stays that way,” she continued.

However, Gelli admitted that she remains careful because of things that happened in the past. She did not discuss these experiences in detail.

“Pero siyempre, parang I’m also careful because of all past stuff. But there’s still reason to be wary,” she explained.

Despite her concerns, the celebrity said what matters most is that Kaila and Daniel are happy and have a good influence on each other.

“Pero habang masaya sila, maayos sila, and they bring out the best in each other, ’yun ang importante naman,” she said.

Janice de Belen also shared her thoughts about her daughter’s personal life during the same conversation.

The host recalled sensing that something could develop between Kaila and Daniel around Christmas. When she previously asked Kaila about it, however, her daughter repeatedly denied it.
