SexBomb Girls members Mhyca Bautista and Cherry Ann Panganiban opened up about how the group handles jealousy and misunderstandings among its members during their guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, August 3.

During the interview, Mhyca and Cherry Ann were asked about the dynamics within the large group, particularly their close relationship with one another and their respect for the senior members. Host Boy Abunda pointed out that with so many members in the group, moments of jealousy could naturally happen.
“Ang dami niyo and you're very very close and you respect each other lalo na 'yung mga nauna sa inyo. Pero hindi pwedeng walang inggitan,” Boy aired.
Cherry Ann agreed that jealousy could happen, describing it as something normal for a large group.

“Opo. Normal po siguro,” Cherry Ann responded.
When Boy asked how they deal with jealousy, Cherry Ann emphasized that being part of a big group means they have to approach disagreements in a mature way.
“Big group po kami ah we handle it po ah maturely po,” Cherry Ann said.
Boy then asked Cherry Ann to clarify what she meant by handling their issues “maturely.” She explained that the members talk about their concerns openly.
“Pinag-uusapan po namin,” she added.
Boy followed up by asking whether the members themselves take the initiative to discuss issues without needing someone else to tell them to talk things out. Both Mhyca and Cherry Ann answered “yes.”
“Without anybody saying, 'Uy pag-usapan niyo yan'? Diretso kayo?” Boy followed up.
Cherry Ann then explain that the senior members also help maintain harmony within the group. According to her, the older members are willing to point out when they notice something that is not right.
“Pag may nakita po na hindi po okay yung ginagawa ng kagrupo, sinasabi po ng mga ate namin,” Cherry Ann explained.
Mhyca then shared that the group continues to hold meetings even during major commitments, including their World Tour. She explained that these meetings allow them to address concerns immediately so that small issues do not grow into bigger problems.
“So nagkakaroon po kami ng meeting kahit po sa World Tour like may napansin na ganito, nagkaka-meeting pa rin po kami kumbaga para hindi po lumaki. Kaso mga tampuhan lang maliliit na bagay,” Mhyca said.
The SexBomb Girls are a popular Filipino dance and performance group. They were formed as a dance group on the noontime show “Eat Bulaga!”, where they became part of the segment “Laban o Bawi.” The group is known for their energetic and daring dance performances, as well as their catchy songs such as “Spaghetti,” “Get Get Aww,” and “Bakit Papa.” Because of their unique style and strong stage presence, they quickly became a household name and one of the most popular girl groups in the Philippines during their peak. Aside from dancing, the SexBomb Girls also ventured into music, film, and television. Some members, such as Rochelle Pangilinan, Jopay Paguia, Sunshine Garcia, and others, went on to build their own careers in acting and hosting after their time with the group.
During the same interview, Mhyca spoke about her eight-year relationship with CJ Abad, saying she has always been open about their partnership and has never been ashamed of being in a relationship with a woman. She shared that both their families have welcomed their relationship, while people online have also shown their support.
Mhyca and Cherry Ann also reflected on their early days as junior members of SexBomb Girls. They recalled respecting the group’s senior members despite the absence of a formal seniority system, and remembered having different dressing-room arrangements for the senior and junior members during their time on “Eat Bulaga.”
