Mhyca at Cherry Ann, nagkomento sa leadership ni Rochelle at pakikitungo ng senior SexBomb Girls

Mhyca Bautista and Cherry Ann Panganiban opened up about their relationship with Rochelle Pangilinan and the other senior members of SexBomb Girls, recalling how they looked up to the older members.

During their interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, August 3, the two were asked by host Boy Abunda about Rochelle’s leadership.

Mhyca described Rochelle as a highly capable leader and revealed that she had admired her from the very beginning.

“Sa akin? Si Ate Rochelle po is napakagaling niyang leader. Idol ko po talaga, from the start,” Mhyca said.

Boy then asked Mhyca and Cherry Ann about other senior SexBomb Girls, including Jopay Paguia, Aira Bermudez, and Aifa Medina.

Cherry Ann explained that they regarded the senior members as their “ate” figures, reflecting the close relationship they had with them while they were part of the group.

“Mga ate po namin sila,” Cherry Ann responded.

Boy noted that the senior members were very supportive of the younger SexBomb Girls, a sentiment that both Mhyca and Cherry Ann agreed with.

Mhyca then recalled how the senior members extended their support beyond their performances, particularly when it came to their costumes and makeup.

“Sa mga costumes, makeup tinutulungan din po kami,” Mhyca shared.

Cherry Ann emphasized that the support they received from the senior members covered practically every aspect of their experience.

“Sa lahat po,” Cherry Ann added.

The SexBomb Girls are a popular Filipino dance and performance group. They were formed as a dance group on the noontime show “Eat Bulaga!”, where they became part of the segment “Laban o Bawi.” The group is known for their energetic and daring dance performances, as well as their catchy songs such as “Spaghetti,” “Get Get Aww,” and “Bakit Papa.” Because of their unique style and strong stage presence, they quickly became a household name and one of the most popular girl groups in the Philippines during their peak. Aside from dancing, the SexBomb Girls also ventured into music, film, and television. Some members, such as Rochelle Pangilinan, Jopay Paguia, Sunshine Garcia, and others, went on to build their own careers in acting and hosting after their time with the group.

In the same interview, Mhyca also opened up about her eight-year relationship with CJ Abad, saying she has always been open about their relationship and has never been ashamed of having a lesbian partner. She shared that their relationship has been embraced by both of their families and has also received positive feedback from people online.

Meanwhile, Mhyca and Cherry Ann discussed their experiences as junior members of SexBomb Girls, saying they respected those who joined before them despite the lack of a strict seniority system. They also remembered having different dressing-room arrangements for senior and junior members during their time on “Eat Bulaga.”
