First-ever “The Clash” Grand Champion Golden Cañedo shared her thoughts on being compared to Sarah Geronimo, saying she feels grateful whenever people point out the resemblance and liken her to one of the country's most celebrated performers.

Golden spoke about the comparison during her guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, July 15, when host Boy Abunda asked how she reacts to people saying she is similar to Sarah.
Golden expressed happiness over the comparison, explaining that she has long admired the singer and actress and has followed her career since she was younger.
“Masaya po ako dahil madami pong nagsasabi sa'kin na kamukha ko po si Ms. Sarah G., and sobrang grateful po ako dahil nung kabataan niya po up until now, nanonood po ako kay Ms. Sarah G. at hinahangaan ko din po siya.”

Boy then asked Golden if she had already met Sarah in person.
Golden revealed that she has yet to meet the Popstar Royalty but shared that it is something she genuinely hopes will happen.
“Hindi pa po. Gusto ko pong ma-meet po siya.”
Reacting to Golden's answer, Boy said it would be exciting if the two singers would eventually cross paths and even get the opportunity to perform together.
“Ang saya siguro. At saka mabigyan ng pagkakataong makadueto,” Tito Boy aired.
The interview gave viewers a glimpse into Golden's admiration for Sarah, whom she has followed since childhood. As she continues building her own career in the music industry, Golden hopes to eventually meet one of her longtime idols.
