“Normal naman ‘yun ‘di ba? Tampu-tampuhan. Pero okay naman. Happy naman kami.”
The comedian also shared that one of their favorite activities together is exploring different food spots, saying that they often go on food trips and enjoy having dinner together.
“Kasi kain kami nang kain kung saan. Siyempre, iti-treat niya ako, magdi-dinner kami.”
She revealed that they first met through her boyfriend's workplace, where they exchanged contact numbers before eventually getting closer through constant conversations.
“Magaan ‘yung dating niya sa akin. Tsaka the way na makipag-usap siya, ganito, ganiyan.”
According to Donita, what attracted her most was her boyfriend's personality, adding that they matched well because of their similar character and outlook in life.
She also explained why she no longer believes in lengthy courtship before entering a relationship.
“Usually ganoon naman, ‘di ba dati, mga panahon na ‘o sige, date-date muna.’ Ganyan, ganyan. Ngayon, para sa akin, hindi. Kasi, ganoon din ‘yun eh.”
Instead, she believes couples can truly discover compatibility while already committed to each other.
“Maging kayo. O ‘di, saka kayo mag-date. Magkakilanlan kayo. Ngayon, after three months, hindi kayo okay. ‘Di maghiwalay, ‘di ba? Kesa ‘yung date kayo nang date tapos biglang, hindi rin pala kayo magiging okay.”
Despite enjoying her current relationship, Donita made it clear that violence remains a non-negotiable issue for her.
“Oo, ‘yun ang pinaka ayoko sa lahat na maging karelasyon.”
She said any sign of aggression immediately becomes a deal-breaker.
“Out na ‘yun. ‘Yung parang nakita ko, ah, medyo violent. Ah, mataas ang boses kapag nag-aaway kami. Ah, medyo agresibo ‘tong taong ‘to. Out na sa akin ‘yun.”
Recalling one of her past relationships, Donita admitted that she once fought back against an abusive former partner.
“Ay, ‘te, nagiging lalaki ako pagdating sa ganyan."
"Makikipagbalibagan ako. Oo, may isa akong ex talaga. Ah, rambulan kami talaga. Tinatadyakan ko paganu’n.”
Her candid revelations drew attention not only for her openness about her current romance but also for her firm stand against abusive relationships.
