Lolit Solis took to social media to share her thoughts and feelings on Ai-Ai delas Alas’s “Ligaya Delmonte” video on the Vincentiments Facebook page.

The said video shows Ai-Ai portraying the role of Hon. Ligaya Delmonte, who netizens believe to be a parody version of Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte. Ai-Ai’s video is accompanied by a caption expressing support for Mike Defensor, Belmonte’s rival in the 2022 QC Mayoral Race.
"May mahalaga po akong announcement kaya pakinggan niyo ko. Kung ayaw nyo, lumayas kayo sa Kyusi, wala akong pake… Mayora Ligaya Delmonte, now signing off,” Ai-Ai’s character said in the clip.

According to Lolit, Ai-Ai has the right to support and endorse the politicians she likes.
However, the showbiz reporter urged Ai-Ai to avoid bashing the rivals of the politicians she endorses. Lolit explained that Ai-Ai will be burning bridges if she engages in that kind of negative campaigning. Lolit is a known supporter of Joy Belmonte.
“Naloka ako sa gimmick ni AiAi de las Alas, Salve. Trabaho lang iyon mag endorse ng kandidato, ok lang kung sino kumuha at nagbayad sa iyo, pero choice mo parin kung ano ang mga dapat mong gawin o sabihin.
“Ok , magkalaban, siyempre kanya kanyang labas ng gimmick at salita, pero dapat naman siguro maging polite ka parin sa mga gagawin mo, maliban na lang kung gusto mo talaga isara lahat ng pinto, at never na kayong magiging magkaibigan uli after the election.
“Komedyante si AiAi de las Alas, kung gusto niya gawin katatawanan ang sarili niya, why not, pero sana iwasan niya na gumamit ng ibang tao para lang maging katawa tawa. Pathetic ang dating, forcing thru, hard sell , gutter comedy, iyan ang masasabi ko sa ginagawa niyang kagagahan tungkol kay Mayor Joy Belmonte. Kung suportado niya ang kalaban ni Mayor Joy, OK lang, no big deal.
“Pero sana walang bastusan, sana igalang niya parin ang office na pinamumunuan ni Mayor Joy Belmonte. Matuto ka sana AiAi kung saan dapat huwag lalagpas, baka ang ending hindi mo makayang dalhin. Gamitin ang utak para hindi magkamali, hindi magsisi. Piece of advice AiAi, dahan dahan lang, baka nadapa,” Lolit posted on Instagram.
