Hector Avanceña Zabala, better known as Buddy Zabala in the Philippine music industry, is a Pinoy musician and producer. He was born on November 13, 1971. Zabala is currently the bassist of the band Moonstar88, but is he is more known as one of the original members of the now disbanded Eraserheads, a phenomenal band in the 90s.

The band’s former frontman, Ely Buendia encountered backlash online in recent months after his comment about Eraserheads bandmates not being friends circulated online. In a message he penned, the singer opined that he does not understand why people are hating on him for telling the truth. He also said that people should remember that it is their music that should matter. While some have reacted negatively to the singer's revelation, many netizens also defended Ely from his bashers.

Last month, Ely told a follower there might be an Eheads reunion “if Leni runs.” When VP Leni Robredo did confirm she would run, fans immediately stormed the social media accounts of Ely, reminding him of his reply to a follower’s question last month during a Q&A on his Twitter account. He did followed it up, however, with another tweet clarifying that his political views are his own and does not reflect the views of his former bandmates.
