The World of the Married - episode 1 recap: "Lonely Sailing"
The story begins with a demonstration of the perfect family where everything seems flawless. Having been married for a while, Ji Sun-Woo starts becoming suspicious of the husband that he is having an affair. This is triggered by the small incidences of the piece of hair and cherry lipstick.
Her suspicions drive her to snoop around her husband’s phone only to find several pictures of her husband with his lover Yeo Da Kyung. Other photos included the couple with their friends. Her first instinct was revenge with a pair of scissors.

As she struggles with her thoughts on revenge by stabbing the husband at a birthday party, the presence of her son halted her moves and she restrained herself. She confronts her best friend Doctor Sul who was aware of the situation but Sul defended herself that Lee was to break off the love affair.
Jin Sun-Woo finds herself in a weird position where she has to medically attend to her husband’s lover Yeo Da Kyung. During the appointment, she realizes that Yeo Da Kyung is pregnant. Jin Sun-Woo uses her friend Doctor Sul, to convey the pregnancy news to her husband.

The episode begins with a flashback of Ji Sun-Woo’s pregnancy and engagement to Lee Tae Oh. The flashback is short-lived as she sees her husband heading to be with his pregnant lover. At this point, she approaches her lawyer for a divorce but she has to gather proof of the affair in order to proceed.
As she digs deeper, she is rattled when she realizes that her husband has been siphoning her salary to other secret accounts and financing his lover. She realizes she has to play smart, not to allow her husband to know what she is up to.
She swallows her pride and assists her husband during the burial of his mother, despite the presence of his lover’s family.

Ji Sun-Woo continues in her pursuit to find evidence of her husband’s affair. The more she digs, the more she finds information that is difficult for her to chew and swallow.

Ji Sun-Woo’s world turns upside down when her husband and the abusive boyfriend take their case to her boss. They want to show that she requires psychiatric help. This forces her to flee with her son. Tae encounters a heated argument with Ji Sun-Woo which results in a 2-year restraining order against Tae.

Ji Sun-Woo had no intention of going to the party that she was invited by Tae. All this changed when she realized that her son, Joon Young, was attending the party without her permission.
Da Kyung becomes uncomfortable when she sees Sun-Woo coming from her master bedroom. Tae embarks on revenge to Sun-Woo by doing whatever is in his power to ensure she loses her job.
