Donald Trump has made history as the second US leader to make a huge political comeback and get another chance to be the resident of the White House for the next four years.
The former president, and now-president-in-waiting, first won in 2016, only to suffer a loss against President Biden in 2020, and then make a great political comeback in 2024.
The US leader who first made such political comeback was Grover Cleveland, who won as the 22nd US president in 1885, only to lose against Benjamin Harrison in the 1888 presidential elections, and then make a political comeback in 1892 by defeating incumbent President Harrison who ran for reelection.
President Trump won the battleground states of Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, ensuring a clear path to 270, perhaps even more, electoral votes that is needed to win the US presidency.

In a speech where he declared victory, he told jubilant supporters that they “made history.”
“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” President Trump said.
Donald Trump is a former US President and is the 45th to hold that position. He is also projected to win the 2024 US presidential elections. During his bid for reelection in 2020, he was defeated by current US President, Joe Biden. This year, Trump is again throwing his hat in the 2024 presidential race, in what many perceive as a rematch between Biden and the business mogul.
It can be recalled that in July of this year while on a campaign sortie in Pennsylvania, Trump was rushed offstage after shots were heard at the rally. According to CNN, when the first shots rang out, the former president fell to the ground. Secret Service immediately rushed to his side to surround him, and when he got up, blood was seen on his ear and face. Later in the evening, Trump took to his Truth Social account and let everyone know that he was safe and there thanked the quick response of the Secret Service.
Trump, at the time, is trying hard to make a political comeback after his loss to President Joe Biden in 2020. President Biden took his oath as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, 2021. He then declared that democracy in America won on that very day because of his successful inauguration.
