The entrepreneur took to social media to detail the lifestyle changes behind his weight-loss journey, emphasizing that his results were built around physical activity, dietary changes, discipline and consistency.
“From 38 waistline to 31 — walang magic, walang shortcut, walang halong chemicals,” Wilbert wrote.
According to Wilbert, one of the biggest components of his routine was walking. He said he would take between 10,000 and 30,000 steps every day as part of his effort to become healthier and reduce his waistline.

His post also described a highly simplified diet. Wilbert said he stopped eating rice and instead focused on grilled chicken, vegetables and salmon prepared without cooking oil.
“10K to 30K steps daily lang naman po, No rice. Only Grilled chicken, veggies, salmon na walang cooking oil. Pure DISCIPLINE at CONSISTENCY lang,” he shared.
Rather than presenting his transformation as the result of a secret product or dramatic shortcut, Wilbert repeatedly returned to the idea of personal commitment. For him, the physical changes were connected to a broader decision to stop making excuses and take greater responsibility for his lifestyle.
“Hindi ko ipinagpalit ang kanin para lang pumayat…ipinagpalit ko ang excuses ko para sa mas healthy na version ng sarili ko,” he said.
The entrepreneur also used the post to reflect on how people had treated him before his transformation. He recalled being called “BUTETE” and “CHANENA,” while another person who was both an admirer and critic reportedly created a Facebook account using the name “Wilberta Chan.”
Wilbert said he did not allow those comments to define him. Instead, he framed the criticism as an unexpected source of motivation while making a comparison between losing weight and removing negativity from his personal life.
“Mas madaling magbawas ng waistline kaysa magbawas ng toxic na tao sa buhay…pero ginawa ko pareho,” he wrote.
His message suggested that the transformation was not solely about changing his physical appearance. Wilbert portrayed it as part of a larger process of choosing healthier habits while distancing himself from people and circumstances he considered toxic.
He also directly addressed those who had mocked him in the past, thanking them for inadvertently giving him additional motivation.
“Kaya sa mga nang-asar dati: thank you sa motivation,” Wilbert said.
He then joked that while his belly may have previously been the subject of attention, his progress could now be what people notice instead.
“Dati bilbil ang napapansin n’yo, ngayon baka progress ko na ang hindi n’yo ma-ignore,” he added.
Wilbert concluded his post by again emphasizing that he does not consider his transformation miraculous.
“38 ➡️ 31. Hindi himala. Hindi chemicals. DISIPLINA LANG Mamaswang,” he wrote.
Wilbert connected his 38-to-31-inch change with discipline, consistency, healthier choices and the willingness to abandon excuses.
