Jaya, kahit nasa Amerika, nagpakita ng suporta kay VP Leni Robredo

- She then explained that despite living in the USA, she is keeping herself updated on what’s happening in the Philippines
- In her posts, the country’s Queen of Soul also wrote “#LetLeniLead”, a hashtag used by supporters of VP Leni

Jaya, who currently resides in the USA together with her family, said she keeps herself updated on what’s happening in the Philippines.
The Soul Diva expressed this in a series of posts on Twitter.
In one of her tweets, the 51-year-old singer first apologized to her followers because of her inactive Twitter page.

“Hey guys! To my Pinoy fams, Sorry I’ve not been active sa Twitter. Since moving to the US I’ve been following the news here at sa Pinas. Sensya na sa retweets that might not be of interest to you who follow me. But it’s (important) that I read and know what’s happening around me.”

She then went on to express support for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential bid.
“I’m aware of what’s going on dyan sa Pinas at sa mga nagtatanong po #LetLeniLead,” she wrote.
Lastly, Jaya shared her prayers regarding the upcoming polls.
“And I’m praying na sana ay maging kalma at maayos ang ating eleksyon. Let’s extend our love, respect and understanding to everyone and all the candidates. Basta bumoto!!! #LetLeniLead.”
María Luisa Ramsey Kagahastian-Gotidoc, known professionally as Jaya is a Filipino soul singer, rapper, record producer, actress, dancer and presenter of mixed Jamaican and Visayan descent.
Last year, Jaya revealed that she has decided to go back to the US with her family. The talented singer shared the reasons behind the decision to leave the country which included the difficulties she faced during the pandemic. She also mentioned that she felt like God has better plans for her and her family.
In an Instagram live video, the singer also gave some glimpses of her and her family’s simple life in America. She likewise gave a sneak peek of the house they are renting.
