Jaya will leave the Philippines for the US after experiencing several hardships

- Jaya has decided to go back to the US after having to go through difficulties during the pandemic

- The singer said that she had started to feel depressed and hard situations kept on happening that she decided to turn to God

- She also mentioned that she felt like God had better plans for her and her family, saying that her faith arose when things started lining up for her

- Jaya said that the things that happened after their decision to leave the country made it easy for them to go back to the US

In a virtual conference with Pinky Tobiano for Grateful Tuesdays, Jaya revealed that she has decided to go back to the US with her family.

The talented singer shared the reasons behind the decision to leave the country which included the difficulties she faced during the pandemic.

Jaya said that she felt depressed while having to stay at home due to the quarantine and further revealed, "I started to lose weight. Hindi ko na-anticipate na hindi na pala ako kumakain nang tama o tamang oras, o nag-one meal a day lang ako."

Her husband, Gary Gotidoc, also had a stroke and had to be hospitalized for several days. That was when Jaya thought, "Teka... anong nangyayari? Nakakulong tayo, wala tayong work, at may asawa kang nagkasakit, paano yung mga bata?"

Jaya said that she turned to God and left it to Him. She also mentioned that she took it as a sign from God to leave the Philippines, after subsequent events that made it easier for her and her family to go to the US started to happen.

The singer further said, “That’s the reason why I’m going to the States because I think He’s telling me talaga to go there, don’t worry about it.”

Jaya also assured the host that she will still be able to do all her prior commitments and work in the Philippines online even after leaving the country.
