The incident was captured by CCTV and featured in a report on GMA Network's "Unang Balita."
According to the report, the traffic enforcer was standing near an area where several impounded motorcycles were being kept. He was monitoring the vehicles while carrying out his duties at the time.
CCTV footage showed a man arriving at the area and approaching the traffic enforcer. Moments later, the incident took place while the victim was still on duty.

The traffic enforcer was injured and immediately taken to a hospital, where he received medical treatment. A follow-up report from GMA News said the victim was recovering at the hospital.
A separate GMA News report on "Saksi" said the victim is recovering at the hospital following the incident.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 12 is investigating the case and working to identify the person responsible. According to authorities, one of the angles being examined involves a traffic violator who may have had a grievance against the enforcer. Police have not confirmed this as the motive and are continuing their investigation.

Meanwhile, Marlon Sabandal lost his life after he was shot while trying to stop a street brawl in Barangay Buting, Pasig City, in the early hours of July 12. According to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita, several men were seen arguing along the roadside before the confrontation escalated into a fistfight. Barangay tanods who were on patrol aboard a tricycle happened to pass by and immediately crossed the street to stop the commotion.
Recently, a 75-year-old senior citizen was allegedly deceived by a man who offered to buy her gold ring in Barangay Calaboa, Leganes, Iloilo, on July 31. CCTV footage showed a helmet-wearing man talking to the woman, identified in the report as Lola Susana, at the entrance of her home. According to the report, the man expressed interest in buying her ring and asked to examine it. While pretending to inspect the jewelry, he allegedly switched it with a fake ring before handing one back to her.
