Another camera angle showed the tricycle stopping, with the driver getting off to check what had happened. According to the driver, the woman allegedly fell from the tricycle while they were on the road.

However, the victim's family expressed doubts about that version of events. They claimed the driver and his brother, who was also inside the tricycle, did not immediately assist the victim after she fell.

"Sa halip po na hintuan siya nung driver nung tricycle and then 'yung kasama na passenger na isa pa. Eh hindi nila hinintuan yung biktima natin. Kinailangan pa umano silang habulin ng isa pang tricycle para mabalikan ang biktima," a relative said.

The victim, who was already unconscious, was first brought to a nearby clinic. Since the clinic reportedly lacked the necessary equipment, she was referred to a hospital.

Before heading to the hospital, however, the driver and his brother reportedly stopped to speak with barangay officials who were working in the area. Barangay Executive Officer said the driver told them that the victim had allegedly jumped from the tricycle.

Instead of proceeding directly to the hospital, the victim was also brought to a relative's house before she was eventually rushed for further medical treatment. She later died due to severe head injuries.
