According to police, the burglary was discovered two days after it happened. Authorities said the homeowner was no longer staying in the country after migrating abroad.

Police explained that relatives who remained in the Philippines eventually visited the property and discovered that it had already been broken into.

"Nung bumisita nga yung kamag-anak nila na naiwan dito sa Pilipinas, na-discover nila na nanakawan na," an officer said in the report.

Investigators found that the suspects allegedly entered through the back portion of the house. Authorities said the gate was forced open and a rear door was damaged during the break-in.

Among the reported stolen items were a flat-screen television, an air-conditioning unit, and other household belongings.

A follow-up police operation later led to the arrest of the two suspects, aged 28 and 35.

According to authorities, information from a tipster helped them locate the suspects. The informant reportedly told police that two men were trying to sell items similar to those reported missing from the house.

"Meron tayong tipster na meron di umanong dalawang lalaki na nagbebenta nung kapahalintulad na mga gamit na nawawala doon sa bahay na yon," police said.

Officers then conducted an operation and pretended to be buyers. After confirming that the items matched those reported stolen, police moved in and arrested the suspects.

Authorities also recovered a loaded firearm from the 28-year-old suspect during the operation.

The two men reportedly refused to issue any statement regarding the allegations against them.

Police filed robbery and Anti-Fencing Law complaints against both suspects. One of them is also facing an additional complaint for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
