Authorities from the General Santos City Police Office said the victim’s family raised concerns that the young woman may have been made to take the drug, which is known for its dangerous effects when abused.
The victim’s mother believes that an ecs*tasy pill was allegedly given to her daughter by the boyfriend with the help of a companion.
The substance, commonly referred to as ecst*aasy, is a synthetic drug that can severely affect the brain and heart when taken in excessive amounts.

In the weeks that followed the alleged incident, the victim reportedly stayed at home with her family. During that time, her relatives noticed alarming changes in her behavior.
According to the mother, the young woman appeared extremely frightened and would often shout repeatedly while mentioning the drug she had taken.
“Ecs*tasy drug,” the victim reportedly kept saying during episodes that worried her family.
Her condition continued to deteriorate in the following days. The nursing student eventually became physically weak before she later died, prompting her family to seek further investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
To determine the exact cause, the family requested assistance from the National Bureau of Investigation so that an autopsy could be conducted on the victim’s body.
Health experts have long warned about the dangers of ecs*tasy abuse. According to specialists, excessive consumption of the drug can lead to addiction and trigger severe complications that may become fatal if not treated immediately.
