The bodies of two men were discovered in a bushy area in Barangay Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal.
The dead bodies were first found by two minors on Friday afternoon,n and they immediately reported it.
In an interview with GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' Alvin Taguna, Police Deputy of Barangay Silangan, shared that the kids were swimming in the area.
They reportedly noticed a foul smell and later found that it was coming from the corpses, which were almost hidden by bamboo plants.

According to authorities, the dead bodies were already in the decomposition stage, and their hands were tied.
The cause of death of the victims was gunshot.
Based on the initial investigations, the victims were approximately 37 and 52 years old, and were allegedly members of a syndicate. The incident was allegedly related to illegal dr*gs.
Authorities also said that the families of the victims confirmed that someone called them and asked to meet the victims. They're now considering them as persons of interest.
In a follow-up operation, it was later revealed that the victims were from Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City.
Investigations in determining the identity of the suspect/s are still ongoing.
